The Halifax Bead Inserter is an instrument designed for insertion of 1 mm diameter tantalum bead implants into bone. It is a robust, fast, and easy to use product with no learning curve which allows surgeons to implant beads more efficiently.

The Bead Inserter is part of the Halifax Bead Inserter Kit which also includes a replacement needle, replacement piston, and a sterilization container. Tantalum beads to be used with the Bead Inserter will be sold separately as part of a Tantalum Bead Set.

Tantalum Bead Set

The Tantalum Bead Set consists of 1mm spherical x-ray markers (16 per set) made of tantalum and packaged in a cartridge. They are used as radio-opaque markers to be implanted into bone or soft tissue. The Tantalum Bead Set is used with the Halifax Bead Inserter and allows for fast and easy loading of tantalum beads into the Bead Inserter.
